The surface is a tediously awful place. You DON'T want to go up there-why would you risk your life for something like that? Your future? Haven't you heard of the saying "curiosity killed the catfish"?
Right now, there are many of us struggling to chase after our dreams. Be it from wanting to become an artist, to a performer, to a professional baseball player, we all have a passion we thought for sure we would make a life out of as children. Now, grown/growing up, many of us choose to turn away from those dreams.
To ignore them…Even throw them away.
Why? Well, because taking a risk like that could lead to many unpredictable things.
People tell us:” It doesn't bring in the money,” or, “It’s a one in a million chance you’ll succeed in that”…
So, we doubt ourselves. We give into “reality”, and we live our life on the safe side; under the surface of our dreams with everyone else is where we stay.
And never once do we take a chance.
Never once in our entire lives will we get to see just what potential is above the surface.
And this is a sad, sad thing.
The secret behind it is;
The catfish never died. It simply went on with its life, happy that it achieved its goal that was brought upon by curiosity.
Though, since no one was there to see where the the catfish was…Obviously, that means he must had died from his silly, curious dreaming.
